What happend to the summer

I'm sorry I haven't been keeping everyone updated on what is going on this summer in Cedar. Truth is, I have been having so much fun I didn't realize time was going so fast! I have been doing so much I will fill you in on what has been going on so far:

I can't get enough of the new Lake in Cedar City. I go about twice a week with a group of Alpha Phis and a couple boys from Sigma Chi. It is so much fun. Their are a lot of families there with little kids but I think once school starts it will die down a bit. It will be fun to go to when I have a free afternoon in September!

Last month one of my Alpha Phi Sisters got married! In Alpha Phi we have this tradition to sing to them at their wedding so about twenty of us showed up and sang and gave her red roses. She looked beautiful and I can't wait to be sung to when I get married. I think one of the things I love the most about being in a Greek Organization is the fact that once I graduate I will still be apart of it unlike other groups on campus. I will be an Alpha Phi FOREVER!

This is just a funny picture of me and some sisters hanging out at Garden House. We get a little crazy when we all get together but we always have a blast! I must have been really excited for my soup or something.

I just got back from a trip to Arizona with my friend Sarah and two Sigma Chis Brent and Bryant. We had so much fun and they are some of my best friends! I never would of met them if it wasn't for being Greek. I have met some of the most amazing people because of my choice to rush Alpha Phi.

Summer Adventures

Assassin
This year two Greek Members decided to start a game of "Assassin". If you haven't heard about it, its pretty much what it sounds like. Everyone thats playing gets a target and you have to kill that person by hitting them with a water gun or nerf gun. Once you hit your target, you get theirs. The game continues on until only one person is left.
We started playing about 3 days ago and already 8 of the almost 70 people are out. Most of the people playing are part of the Greek System, so it makes it easier for people to know who everyone is. Because they did it randomly some people in the organizations have each other, I am very interested to see where this is going. One of my friends told me he staked out a girl for 2 hours, and then ended up missing her. Just today my roommate got invited to dinner at another friends house but was so paranoid he was going to get shot that he almost didn't go. I find myself looking out my door and window before I go out to my car, and even making sure no one is following me. I have a feeling I am going to be on edge all summer!!
Lunch with the Phi's
I can't believe how much I already missed some of my sisters once summer started. I decided that I should be in charge of getting everyone together and going to lunch! So thats what I did!! We all met up at garden house and had lunch together. It was fun to catch up with everyone. Our very own president had an engagement story she had to tell all of us :D. I for sure want to have more days where we can all get together.

Outdoors
A bunch of Alpha Phis and Sigma Chis got together and went camping at three peaks. It was a blast! Of course they set up the tents, and made the fire, and cooked us all dinner, so it was REALLY fun for us Phis! We also went to Sand Hallow at the beginning of the summer, I wouldn't recommend it yet because the water is still so cold, but it was still a lot of fun.

SERVICE!

One of the reasons I wanted to join Alpha Phi is because of the great Service opportunities it creates for me. Every year we help with Sub-4-Santa and this year we did it again! It always helps make me feel better when I serve someone else.

Alpha Phi Christmas Party

On Monday we had our Annual Alpha Phi Christmas Party. Usually we just do a white elephant gift exchange but this year we also made Christmas Ornaments!

We all hung out for a long time and ate cookies, it was so much fun!!

We also just had our elections and this is a picture of our new Executive Council. I'm so excited for next semester with all of our new activities coming up. The second week of school is Rush Week, and this year the theme is "Alpha Phi is Life." I think it will be way exciting and that we will get a lot of good new girls to join Alpha Phi. After Rush week we have our Philanthropy Week, which will be the first week in February. Last year was so much fun and I always look forward to Red Dress Gala.
